MISSION STATEMENT
of the
UTAH CENTER FOR ETHICS AND SOCIAL POLICY

WHEREAS, Ethics and Social Policy issues are of increasing interest and significance, and

WHEREAS, Utah has a unique history and perspectives on many ethical and social policy issues, and

WHEREAS, concerned citizens are desirous to have a forum for the discussion, debate, analysis and evaluation of ethical and social policy issues,

NOW, THEREFORE, the Utah Center for Ethics and Social Policy, a Utah nonprofit corporation, herein sets forth its Mission Statement:

The Mission of the Utah Center for Ethics and Social Policy is to provide a forum for scholarly discussion, debate, analysis and evaluation of ethical and social policy issues. The proceedings and research conducted and supported by the Utah Center shall be made available and distributed as widely as possible. The Utah Center shall endeavor to maintain an objective and scholarly approach to ethical and social policy issues; though individual participants, authors, speakers and others may have very pronounced opinions and positions on any particular ethical or social policy issue.
It is the hope and goal of the Utah Center for Ethics and Social Policy (UCESP) to stimulate interest and action and to provide new insights and knowledge regarding a wide range of ethical and social policy issues.
